Sophie and Izzy

It's rare that we've managed to get a photo of our dogs both looking at the camera. My daughter recently took this one after snapping a lot of shots. The afghan in the background is one of my favorite patterns. Its hooked in the round and each round is different so it never get boring.

Wool Heart Mat

This little mat was made from recycled wool - both sweaters and shirting - that I felted to make a sturdy fabric. The pattern I used was from Create and Decorate I think - I just had the template around. Its all hand stitched using primitive cross stitch, blanket and running stitch with dmc floss.

Wooly Heart

Posted by Picasa
This little heart is made of thrifted sweaters that I felted. I saw the wonderful tutorial at Prairie's Edge Primitives http://woolyredrug-prairiesedgeprimitives.blogspot.com/2009/02/valentine-freebie.html and instantly knew I needed to make it right now! I changed things a bit - I didn't stuff it nor put the cross stitches on it. It looks really cute dressing up the china hutch. This little project was very fun and quick for instant gratification.
